I have applied for my JIB card sent off all my certs etc how long does it take to process and get a card back. I am out of work at the mo and need the card because agencies just don't want to know with out one.

How do you apply for one and does it cost?
I used to have one years ago, but dont have one now.

it will cost you £40 if your not employed by a JIB company Steve, that is £25 for the registration as it will ber classed as a new one and £15 for the card, and this includes the ECS exam as well.

Malcolm do you reckon a JIB card is worth having in your personal opinoin, does it make you more employable.

I got my job in now by having jib card. i originally applied while ago for the job but the company wouldnt accept me without having jib card, so went away applied for it etc and then reapplied and got a job with them. for what it costs you may aswell get it as might just well help getting a job.

I think the prices have risen, it's now £35 for the ECS test, and £24 for the card for non amicus, JIB company members.

It's £15 for a SJIB card for non union and £7.50 for Sjib card for union members. I just renewed my card and got it back in 2 weeks.
