a lighting designer has supplied 1 led driver to feed 6 light fittings they need to be wired in series, whats the standard practice for this? do i just use twin and earth, its going to be 3 amps load. i normally use a local driver to each light.

How far are the LEDs from the driver, I used .75 2 core flex on mine in my bedroom, and that was 5 years ago and they still work well with no issues, mind you the LEDs are only 3-4 feet from the driver.

Is that to light up your ceiling mirror :yesnod:

haha, no I had a loft conversion and one part of the room Ceiling was flat and all other parts were angled due to RSJs and dorma windows, the flat bit had the LEDs and it looked nice and worked.

Really, what do the instructions say??

I bought some once that had wire in series on the instructions but the instructions should have stated parallel - more than 1 in series and off they went.

I've used rako led drivers supplied by a design company which ran a good few lights can't remember the exact numbers as it differed on the cable run length, but they were connected in series.

If fact I've done this a few times.

use flex as terminating t+e will be a bitch

Yeah haven't actually got the lights yet just lighting layout and they said one driver per set of lights, it has 5 cores l,n, and e and then 0-10v for dimming, if its 12v between fittings I can just use 2 core flex I guess as no earth will be required
