Does anyone have a source for good quality LED tape that has programmed effects rather than just one colour at a time.
“Addressable” or “pixel chasing” would be the description.
Local gym wants 4 parallel lines along their ceiling in the exercise room above the bikes to give the illusion of forward travel.
Need 4 lines of about 8 or 9 metres long, but the main thing is, they need to synchronised. Ie, speed, colour, rate of change need to be constant across the 4 lines.
I had a short 3m one from Amazon to play around with, but it was only usb 5V powered, and didn’t last very long.
My understanding is that rather 4 pin… with a red, blue, green channel and one return, these addressable ones are just a 2 core supply onto the tape, and a 3rd signal cable that controls the pattern. This signal cable can be connected to the other lines, and controlled from only one controller… the power for each line coming from their own PSUs with the signal cable cut
Also, for the same job…. He wants the old fluorescent fittings replaced with 6ft dimmable baton fittings. Any sources for them?
