Discuss Looking for suggestions - Electrical Panel Competence Certificates in the Electrician Courses : Electrical Quals area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi,

I'm fairly new to this forum but the company I work for would like us to take a course to enable us to work inside industrial panels, bagging machines, etc. My problem is that ther appears to be loads of different courses available. We install industrial printers in food, beveridge, etc applications. I have sorted out the wide range of courses available but still need a course which provides a certificate at the end of it. Our workforce is made up of service engineers with a wide range of knowledge both electrical and mechanical.

So what course would be best suited for us to attend.

Thanks, Tony

Perhaps you need a bespoke course written for you.
However, if the guys are not sufficiently competent to work on the machinery, then no course will be any use even after they have completed it, as a course alone does not give competence.

EDIT:
One other thing, if you are modifying machinery and that machinery is in a workplace environment and is CE marked then you would be invalidating the CE mark, thus the end user would be out of compliance with statute law as would your company.
There is a lot more to this than just a course!
