yeah I have my level 3 have certificate upstairs awarded in 1997 I was fast tracked through my level 3 as normally have a year with no college (or did back then before taking am2) and just gain experience via work to help towards am2 I continued at college as not everyone did the level 3 and was due to take my am2 the summer crown house went belly up and made a load of redundancys

not quite sure what you mean here, nvq was a new thing around that time, but i cant imagine che messing up with your appreticeship,i was at college with a few che lads in the 80's on the 236 and they went through no problems

when I took my apprenticeship everything was changing around I was the first year to not have the multi choice exam in the 2nd year for the part2 of the 236 was 2 written exams (still have nightmares of simultaneous equations and ac theory) you also gained your nvq level 2 instalation and engineering in first year with your part 1. not everyone went on to do the level 3.

my apprenticeship was with crown house via a company called jtl they looked after everything training related for the company think alot of companies used them at that time.

che was aa great company but got screwed over when tarmac took them over early 90s and they closed and merged alot of branches before the company very nearly went to the wall, think only manchester and Edinburgh survived.
