Testing a ring final circuit today. R1+R2 is fine, same as end to end r1 rn and r2.

However IR test is coming back 1.87M ohm. I split the circuit and located a section (one side of the ring is clear >999).

The customer doesn't want any walls or ceiling touched. As this is greater than 1M ohm can this be left and simply noted on cert.
 
are you doing a EICR? if so, then you just record what is there. it's a report . it's then up to the customer, considering your advice as an expert, to decide what to do about it. your remit does not cover fixing anything. you're just providing a report.
 
More than 2 is acceptable, less than 2 m requires investigation - you have done the investigation - so what code do you plan to use?
