Hi,

I have noticed the following item in a new construction site. Could anyone can give me further suggestion, please.

1. What is the minimum separation distance between LV underground cable and water pipes (Cold water)? This is for new underground cable lying. Water pipe is to run parallel with LV underground cable. Currently, the underground cable is separated by 200 mm. No cable termination has been made yet.

2. Can we install Distribution Board (3phase) and water pipe (Cold water) in a same plant room. The plant room is 2m x 3m x 3m. This is again new installation. On above construction, LV cable and Water Pipe is located in a same plant room.

Could I ask any references for above queries, please.
Your advice on this matter will be much appreciated.

Is the cable underground the supply to site?

The water can go in the same plant room as distribution board.

Your references will be BS7671 and the site spec.
