On the Continent, they use cable with an insulated CPC.
The switch you have is rated for up to 45A.Ok, thanks. So the wires that are connected to the back box at the moment should be re connected to the switch plate directly. Then a earth wire from the plate to the back box terminal? Forgive my ignorance but what's the difference between the two?
