NICEIC Certification Scheme NICEIC Registered Electricians

Hi, I was having a look on that NICEIC site and I did a search for electricians registered to this scheme near me, the list that came back shows a NICEIC symbol under the heading approved contractor for many people, for others it has a NICEIC symbol under approved contractor and domestic installer. Is it only the electricians that have a symbol under domestic installer that should be contacted for work around the house?

Also if I see a company claiming to be NICEIC regsitered then is there a quick way to check if this is the case? Sorry for the newbie questions but thanks for any input

anyone showing up as registered can be used, the di are only registered for domestic work where the approved contractor will cover all types.

without upsetting anybody an approved contractor (in theory) should be a fully qualified spark whereas you could find a lot of 5week wonders operating as di, although as they are all registered then all should be pre-approved to use

look up the competent persons website, enter company name and if registered they will show
