Offshore Work

Hi guys, I'm off to do my BOSIETand MIST next week and in Feb im heading to Aberdeen for my Compex training. Do you think that an Electrician with no Offshore but Industrial back ground can find employment in the Oil & Gas industries or would I need more training.

well all i can say is grandad jim worked out of aberdeen on the rigs sparkying....did very well out of it n all and by all acounts found it very fulfilling and rewarding n all....long retired now still lives up aberdeen he does....

That should be all you need.Really picking up again.Just make a good c.v and send it out to all the big names and agency's.Also helps if you know someone on the rigs that could forward your c.v for you
