guys im replacing an electric shower like for like, the old shower was 9.5 kw, but was only on a 32 a mem type 1 321 qeb mcb, i told cliant it should be protected by a 40 amp breaker, trouble is the board is oldish and i dont know what breaker to fit,,,, also no rcd protection on boaed, are there any mem rcbo that will fit that board, tanx

it will be better for a mains replacment mate by the time you find a rcbo if ya lucky
i would replace just for my own peice of mind to be fair mate

if you leave the 32 amp, thats more safety than a 40 amp, unless thay have the shower on full heat, its not going to use all the amps anyway !

jason smith so u saying that i tell the lady o its safe as long as you dont use it on full power, saveloy its 6mm so can carry 56a if clipped direct so ok

M8 memshield 2 breakers fit them you can still get them RCBOs will cost you around 50 for the eaton breaker and the rcbo unit which attaches to the top :D
