I suspect its just marketing bluff on SC part - so anything over the next few months is planned in with their kit. I've spoken to a number of distributors and they have all said that accreditation for what they stock is well under way and they expect it to be finalised in early 2014.
The Solarcentury products are not mounting systems but roof integrated tiles/slates and therefore not a carrying system for other modules. It's a good product to be fair, but I suspect it is mainly sold through specification sales on new builds than installers retrofitting the average family home, but I could be wrong.
You're correct Spitfire, as far as I am aware. It's the in-roof solutions that will be tested/accredited soonest I'd imagine and, as SRS have said, other manufacturers are working through their requisite approval processes at the moment. We don't envisage any issues with the mainstream brands to be honest but time will tell....
Been using MCS compliant on roof from Mount Solar for 12 months. How companies like Schuco and Scletter are going to comply is interesting to say the least due to the sheer volume of components and configurations. They will almost certainly specify additional timber in the roof structure with all that implies.
