Evening,
Got a text about 6 weeks ago, owner of flat above one I had done an eicr & works in wanted me to sort communal area pwr & lite. Advised same as previous leasehold common areas should be on l/lord/service supply, but is not. She says she will take it on as its a shambles. Also wants eicr & remedial/upgrades on her flat when vacant. Long & short after EICR & agreeing works by me, she now wants the p&d's fully qualified plumber & electrician(same person) to do all remedial/upgrade works in the flat on the back of my report, I am to do communal areas only.
Thoughts people please?

Is there anything to stop someone being a fully qualified plumber and electrician? I know ‘qualified’ and ‘competent’ may be open to debate but I’m sure there are time served individuals out there very competent to do the whole lot.

There's nothing stopping someone being both and to be fair I know some plumbers that are better at wiring heating systems up than time served sparks
