My opinion is that universally, the accepted lowest hight above floor is 450mm to the bottom of the socket - not the centres. I have two guys in a property fitting them at 450mm to the centres. I think I am right, but before I tell them to chop out some wall......

Just a little query.....i was told recently that you can have skts @ a higher than 1200mm if it is for a specific purpose ie wall mounted tv or above tall feezer etc. I got pulled up on my own house (first fix stage) by building inspector that I had put single skt too high for wall mounted tv. To overcome issue quickly I put switch fuse spur @ 450mm which in-turn controlled the single socket.
I'm in the progress of doing the 2395....Guy taking the course and some of the other sparky's said that the building inspector was wrong. Is there any regs to that effect?

Typical building inspector, no common sense and sees a socket high up on the wall and says you can't have that! Even though it's not a new build! Love proving the idiots wrong.
