customer wants 3 fluorescents in a garage to work off both a p.i.r (when door opens) and a switch can this be done or can he only have 1 or the other (existing power already there and all good)
Does he want the switch to override the PIR so he can keep the lights on whilst he is in the garage? seems a daft idea really, just put a limit switch on the door. Door opens lights on, door closes lights off simples
you can have a suitable pir and switch wired in parallel. Ideally you would set the run time on the pir for a longish period so not to keep switching the fluorescent all the time.
This is straightforward.
You can have the lights come on on a PIR and have a manual override switch that will turn the lights on permanently.
You have to remember that when you switch off the manual switch the PIR will take over so they will not go off at once.
Other options are possible.
