I don't do much data cabling. I fitted recently CAT6 using TLC budget "Kauden" brand euro modules and plates. No problems with the module connectivity, but they were sloppy in the default frames and the frames were really flimsy and nasty sharp cornered thin plastic. I needed a lot of care just screwing them down so as not to bend them. The modules also even were an unmatched shade of white against the frames.

I have another more quality job on now, and am pricing out for combined data/power dado trunking. That stuff is all pricey, I was considering going for MK brand Prestige 3D, and to match it would chose MK euro plates. The MK euro plates are an good cost and ought to match MK sockets I hope. I also reason they and should be solid, - unlike the budget ones.

The price shock is "matching" MK CAT6 RJ45 euro modules which are stupidly expensive. I know it's "Euro module" so anything fits in principle, I have not been blown away with the quality of the Kauden brand parts (TLC being local..). This needs to come out feeling reasonably nice.

Suggestions for solid and dependable brand for Euro face plates and modules which match their own shade of white plastic and don't rattle about?

The screwfix lap modules are surprisingly ok. They’re rebranded Philex. The lap plates are nasty though.

I use Click Mode plates.

That's an affordable combo

Clicks own modules are a bit more expensive but match the shade of the plate a little better than the LAP ones. Depends how critical that is.

I’ve found both modules to be fine to use. If anything the LAP ones a bit better probably.

With a previous hat on I've done a few installs where I've got plates to match the accessories and used my normal supplier of modules. Some have criticised me for caring about not putting some fugly data sockets alongside otherwise all matching accessories !
Last data modules I've used have been from Connectix - nice and low profile so they fit in most boxes, unless a lot I've seen.

EDIT: And some think I've taken it too far when I can sit in a room and say something like "oh, MK sockets and M2 switches" ;)
