what about the type that are used on laboratory benches which sit at angle to the bench. I'm sure you can get them in white PVC. the pattresses are made by people lie Marshall tufflex.

I'm just not sure that that's the look he's looking for. I found the trap door twin sockets that I can incorporate into the ring main on granite work benches about 4 months ago and never gave it it another thought until now and I can't find them anymore.

They are crap, and you need a socket to plug it into, they are just overpriced fancy extension leads.

Any recessed socket in a kitchen worktop is likely to get filled with water if anything spills and also will the customer always unplug or just have the socket up all the time.
Go for raised lab sockets either on a pedestal out of the work top or just on its own.

The retractable sockets are not worth the hassle and inconvenience.

So back to the OP - a kitchen in a conservatory - too hot in the Summer, too cold in the winter and they want unusable sockets too. Time to walk away.

I think your absolute right Richard. I'll go for the lab sockets 9 times out of 10 they are going to be up anyway. I've changed the board so the circuits are RCD protected but that will just cause nuisance tripping due to water ingress. I'm going to go for the singular lab sockets.

like the look ff that pic #3.
That one does look good, the website has limited information unfortunately, it is the link on the word "retractable" (not "sockets" or "are").
