Carrying out some EICR on a commercial/industrial site.
Previous records state the structural steel is bonded, and visually I can see 4x 25mm Earth wires leaving the main earth bar, I cannot trace the one going to the steel , though I suspect one of these does.
How do I prove this? Is it a case of isolating all power( an operational minefield) and testing between the steel and out going 25mm earth wires?
On a second point if I may, neutrals not in order on a large 3 phase DB so I disconnected neutral link bar and tested NxE at outlet end (500v) and still got a reading at less than one ohm.
The cables are in good condition , and the breaker dosent trip when in use , so I do not think it is a dead short.
Any body any pointers on these? It may be I'm missing something simple, my head is bursting today! And any help/ is greatly appreciated .
Thanks in advance
