Finished 1st fix in a new holiday let and for one reason or another forgot to wire in a supply for the upstairs smoke detector.

Thought it shouldn't be a problem to use a battery one with Radiolink.

Sharp eyed Building control guy noticed smoke supply cable missing and said can't use Radiolink smoke in a holiday let!

Anyone have any experience of this? If this is the case where is this stipulation written down?

He is obviously a jobsworth, its does not matter where you use them. As long as they achieve the desired effect whats the issue. The radiolink needs a permanent supply mind.

Its not up to you to research it, its up to the BCO to justify his assertions with facts and regulations.
Could the holiday let requirement be a local thing rather than national ?
