Hello all , hope you can help a confused person out :)
I have a hard wired door bell at moment and want to replace with hard wired ring pro. My current chime box has the old transformer built in i will post piccys . I have found the wiring diagram for th ring pro and just want to confirm if what i will be doing is correct , Thank you 1756687343181.jpeg1756687866465.png
So that is a picture of my current chime set up, and the image i found on ring site . I have seen so many differnt images i hope i am looking at the right one
My plan was to place the ring transformer in lower chime box , remove wires from old transformer 240v , connect in the ring transformer input and then run new wire to the old transformer terminals from ring tranformer output 24v , and then wire up as disagram says . The question i have is that on the wiring diagram it shows a neutral wire from old transformer terminal linking to the bell terminal , i am assuming i will need to add that as well ? . If so would reason be because as there would only be 24v inputting in to old transformer that any internal connection would not be working now . Just a little confused with that wire .
The rest of it seems easy enough to do . The ring instruction says to wire the transformer in the rcd panel,on rail , but cant see an issue the way i will do it . Just trying to make sure before i spend £200 on a door bell :)
Thank you for your time
