Discuss scotland again in the Electricians Chat - Off Topic Chat area at ElectriciansForums.net

Look we all know Tony Blair had his faults but after 18 years of Tory rule think I would have settled for f**king Lionel Blair, now there is someone who should be tried for crimes against humanity.

How was your party? :54:
I was off me trolley at 8'o'clock this morning! :)
And now the little toad hasn't booked his place in history as the man who liberated Scotland, he's fooked off! :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:

Only really watched till about 2.30 got bored watching bunch of silly scots talking about more silly scots. Still can't believe they let 16 yr olds vote my daughter is 17 and it takes her all morning to decide what to wear to college never mind deciding the future of a country madness. Lol

Mdj or is it because of my continuous fight against your idol Tony or because I said he was corrupt and maybe that's how you got your lots of school work when he was in power

There's been a rally in Glasgow tonight to celebrate the no vote. It's been taken over by the Orange Order and various similar right wing groups. ---- salutes being flashed around. Violence in the streets surrounding the place.
Is this what the no campaign has become?

Aye indeed trev .
it was always gonna be the case that the bams would float to the top like the ****e that they are.
one of the things I like about running my show is the interesting people I meet.
one guy I was at tonight is a pretty high up dentist in the nhs.
he said that he met Nicola sturgeon when she was the health minister for the nhs and said that she was one of the sharpest operators he had come across.
which surprised me no end!
wee eck has got what he wanted in the first place .more devolved powers.
its cost him his position though.
i was way to busy today to be bothered about what could have been, but I personally feel we have missed a trick . Ah well as archy says 6 month from now it will be all forgotten about.
what will not be forgotten is labour and millibands performance.
they will not be elected in Scotland for a long time that is assured.

Unfortunately this was part of the No campaign...But to be fair the Yes side have their own idiots too....People who vote due to their religious beliefs and their bloody football colours are just knuckle draggers....the sad fact is we have to live with them. Good thing is most cant even read or write so could not put their X in the box with any accuracy. (Can you tell it bothers me ? )

I was related to Lord Billy Blyton and remember him as a rough but very shrewd political operator, through the family connections I met Kinnock and couldn't help but be impressed at how he presented himself as a fantsticaly smooth operator. He had a knack of making people feel like they were the only person in the room who mattered.
I guess it's a skill that all politicians have and probably most rock stars too.
Michael Foot was well worth talking to as well. Pity there's not many old school socialists left.
Long live Denis Skinner!

Well have found one news thread but just says police contained etc etc nothing about orange order or ---- salutes . what's ----'s got to do with Scottish independance

I'm optimistic about this - I think Scotland has (only just) made the right vote and I think that has given the politicians the shake up they need to do what the people want.
I'm hoping Scotland will be able to have their own Labour or SNP led parliament while issues in England and Wales will be decided upon by English or Welsh MPs as appropriate, whose decisions affect their constituents, which I think will be good for everyone.

If I hadn't already said before I was hoping for a no vote, for the purposes of things like defence and commerce.

I admit I was wrong when I said there would be a 'resounding no' - the result was closer than I thought it would be.
