Evening Gents,

I am going to do a homer with a plumber next week, the job involves putting in a new shower circuit.

Got a "curveball" scenario thrown at me and it got me wondering.

the shower pipes are to be mounted externally down the wall, consisting of a copper pipe or the water, and another copper pipe to be used for the cable (22mm).

This is the only way that the installation can be done, as the shower area is completely tiled and the customer doesnt want a scratch on them.

Technically I am using a copper pipe as a conduit, and the circuit will have RCD protection. Will use earth clamp on the copper pipe (above ceiling) and take earth from shower circuit

Don't see anything in the regs to stop me doing this.

Any thoughts???

was just a brief conversation with the plumber, will need to see what size the pop outs are for the shower unit, it may only be 22mm.

more to the point is... who's the muppet that had the tiling done before cables/pipework was installed?

we need to get that nice mr. alan sugar to invent the wireless shower.

i know teletrix, always the same isn it!
lol make you laugh , do'nt want the tiles marked but happy to have copper pipes running on the surface, must be a block or brick wall no loft above , how are you going to get the wire to the switch. Punters do'nt you just love them.

or install one of these...........
