wiring new build housingand have been informed that a hush switch is to be incorporated in to smoke alarm system.not familiar with this.have wired system as normal, with t&e to first alarm, then 3 core to other alarms as live neutral and interconnect.can you run cable for hush switch from any alarm and what connections at smoke alarm would you use.

thanks guys seems pretty straighforward still better to check as this is new to me but it is a north lanarkshire project and believe they use this system in all new build projects

When all those alarms go off, a alarm control switch is useful to find which one caused the alarm, especially if there's one in the loft space. Aico do a battery operated one, but needs the radio link interconnection.

I think as long as one of the wired alarms has the radio link base you can then use the radio link hush, test and locate unit to control all of them.

on a new build though it would be better to have the wired version whilst its all open.
