I have recently restored an ancient anglepoise lamp which is not a product as far as I can tell from the well known anglepoise lamp company.
it is fitted with 2 core wiring which is in good condition. As the lamp is in good condition and the only item which I have replaced is a switched brass bulb holder, does the lamp comply with electrical regulations for UK?
Many thanks,
Reuben Walton

Brass lamp holder will have an earth terminal. That must be earthed and the lamp too, if it is metal, and not a class II device. You'll need to fit 3-core cable.
