Yes that is compacted cadboard covering a hole in the floor....... And there's more....

Yes that is a bit of carboad over a hole in the floor stuck down with tape!!!!

Do you think that the chipwood is scewed down? Not a chance, all loose and one peice is just held up with a 6" nail!!!

Years ago, many years ago, I had just re-floored my kitchen floor with chipboard, then we had a new cooker delivered and while they were putting it in, I was proudly jumping up and down on my new floor in some vain attempt to impress them.
Crack! I'm through the floor up to my shoulders. Took two of them to drag me out. It hurts!

Simple enough fix but is the customer getting the plumber to sort it or getting him to pay?

And this i what I discovered once I pulled the masking tape from the floor...

I was doing quite a bit of works in this houes and part of it was this....

Yes that is a single socket fed from a 0.5 flex in a walk in wardrobe spurred from the rfc! (bless the weekend diy'er)

that skirting board is pants as well. or is the gap to allow for cooling?

Oh it gets better but at this moment in time my phone (picture taking storage facility) is having an argument with my laptop so I cant post any more pics, sorry. I'll sort it out and come back to it.

That house has more than a hint of DIY about it. Are you sure the mess made of the floorboards was the plumber? If it were just messy floorboards (the cardboard is pushing it a bit IMO) then maybe, but factor in the socket and the skirting boards...
