Theatre spec exit boxes

Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can get a theatre spec maintained exit box these days?
I ordered one from emergency lighting direct but it has arrived as a black box with a white and green legend and apparently they can't get the correct legends any more.

Not sure I can help Dave, but for my own education, how do the theatre specific ones differ ?

That is a beautiful thing, not sure if it's wall mountable but I'm sure I can adapt it to be.
I'll get onto them tomorrow.

I think the introduction of BSEN 7010 into effect means that the specification of the sign must be white pictographs on green background, however this was not a requirement under BS5499 where the emergency sign had to be green.
UKsafetytstore.com seems to sell dark photo luminescent signs on their website still, but not the illuminated ones, if they would be acceptable.

I would suggest you give a company called Andolite a call. They make exactly the sort of thing that you are looking for, and will tweak it to suit your needs. The standard units are wall mount boxes, either 8w fluorescent tubes or LED. They make them to order so there is a bit of a lead time.

I have no connection with the company, apart from having bought some of the units (and other stuff) and have been very pleased with the service that I have had from them.

I'm all too familiar with Andolite, they've cocked up a few jobs for us in the past.
