hi sparke,
if you want to do domestic work you will need to register through one of the scheme providers or notify your work through your labc. you dont need 2391 for this, just need to pass scheme providers assessment.
only you can decide what you need and where you are aiming to work.
but most of all before any of this you need some actual work which at the moment is very thin on the ground

Seems to me you have gone and got the 17th, that means a one days course and get 2391, and you may choose anything you want then.

Buy a van..very very easy..then...............thats it off u go,remember in the present climate to work for mere peanuts..dont worry about schemes,2391 and that testing lark..to hard! Seems to be the way to go at the moment:p

In this present climate work is difficult to find so prices are being lowered in order to gain contracts.

However under no circumstances should anyone compromise safety standards by not testing an installation and not registering with a scheme provider or building control especially as part p of the building regs are law and hefty fines can be dished out for non compliance.
