On the other side it is the power transformer. Trying to figure out why my lg 55lf6000 screen keeps blinking in 1.5 second intervals. So I’m wondering if that spot looks burnt and hoping it is the cause. It’s just I’m wondering if that spot is normal.

Looks like it runs warm but hard to say whether it's abnormal. The transformer is probably not the cause of the fault, much more likely bad electrolytic caps, or possibly a short on one power rail from some other cause. Look carefully on the other side for bulging, leaking or split cans, signs of the shrink wrap curling or discolouring etc. Do you have a multimeter and experience in using it?
