What kind of cable do I need to wire a new 7.9kW cooker?

Mate you are going to get all kinds of stick for posting a question, lots of things come into play, lots of information required, length of run, installation method, type of supply etc etc, you will get more help, less grief if you ask the Moderators for access to the Trainee section, where there are like minded people there to help you, not having a dig at you but if you post a question like this one,you deserve all you get

I don't mind a bit of stick, I am a trainee. Besides, the question has been answered now. Thanks for your concerns though.

with regard to your question about ferrules on fine stranded flex. this cable is not suitable for connecting in screw terminals unless ferruled.
