I've ran a coax cable through the trucking and patress box containing 230v dual gang socket. It's a satellite feed so does have 18v switching PS from the receiver. Is there anywhere in bs 7671 that says this isnt aloud?

it might contravene a regulation or 2, but it's not going to cause any problems electrical wise. could be a possibility of interference on the signal though.
it depends on what satalite cable it is and weather it is rated for a high enough voltage.
cables running together down trunking or through the same enclosures should ALL have a voltage rating that is higher than the voltage expected on any circuit contained in the same trunking.
below are 2 cable spec sheets for what look to be the same cable from a quick glance.
however note the difference in voltage ratings of the 2.
you need to check what the voltage rating of the cable you have used is.
As others have said , the cables should be insulated to the highest voltage present (band 1 and band11) if installed in the same containment or installed in tight close proximity.
see regulation 528.1
