Quick question,
i have somehow inherited a problem.
i have a radial wired in 2.5 t&e
on the circuit it a mincer and a double socket.
at the moment the only thing that is plugged in the socket is a clock.
here is my problem; if a put a 20a breaker the mincer trips it out as soon as it starts, I've tried to see what it pulls on start up and I very briefly get a rating of 56a, then within 1/2 a second (ish) it drops to 15a.
i can easily change the socket to a spur for the clock so nothing else can be plugged in.

I am led to believe the mincer was 3P and has been converted to single phase.
i know the cable will only carry 22a and its on a 32, buts its only ever going to pull 16a in normal running.

its not an easy task to rewire.

thoughts please

That was quick,
cheers, but I already tried a type c.
must admit it was a one I found lying about, may invest in a new one tomorrow and give that a try
cheers
