    Is there a table of expected R1+R2 results in BS7671?

    Evening... I always use my OSG to find R1+R2 when needed for designing a circuit (staying withing the Zs limits), but I wondered if the same table is somewhere in BS7671? Its table I1 in the OSG. I've hunted high and low so I expect it's just something that the OSG offers and isn't in BS7671...

    zs unexpected results

    Testing a ring final ..ze = 0.22 .r1 + r2 =0.65... R2 +rn = 0.69 So calculated zs = 0.87 But when I test at sockets they are around 1.47

    AM2 results

    Just got my results through. passed everything apart from the heating system, obviously because i did not finish in time....Very happy that everything else was spot on!!......unfortunately ill have to sit the full install again but at least i know i was correct in what i had done.

    Does anyone have a list of expected Insulation Resistance test results?

    I would like to get a better understanding of what the specific IR test results could indicate. I'm talking more about the below 1MΩ area. I'm talking about.. wet plaster, flooding (sitting in water), degraded insulation etc etc, I realise it wouldn't give the answer but it may help in narrowing...

    RCD tripping times at 1x and 5x

    I understand that when carrying out RCD testing an RCD should trip within 300ms at 1x and 40ms at 5x but is it common that on occasions for the RCD to trip quicker at 1x than 5x. I never had it occur personally. I am just looking at some old certs and on some circuits the RCD is tripping...

    Any ideas gratefully received. I'm testing a new ground floor extension. Brand new lighting circuit. Live switches. Only feeding jcc fgled6. Continuity is fine. 0.33 at furthest point. Circuit disconnected from the cu I've had readings from 88MOhms to >299MOhms line/cpc. The others are fine...

    They have been published on the Walled Garden, so your centre should be able to give you your results. I passed mine. Its a good job really, seeing as i teach it, imagine the red face if i had failed it.:hanged: Cheers..........Howard
