Hello ,
I have ended up with jamb saw 120v 60hz with American style plug , ideally don't want to drag heavy & expensive converter on the job !!! is there anyway can be rewired to work with UK plug . Any solution ? Thanks bin advance

Unfortunately you will need a transformer (will only be 50hz though so not ideal), a VFD would be better but probably worth more than the saw!
 
This will work on a normal yellow site transformer. Because it is a universal (series commutator) motor the speed and performance will not really be affected by frequency, however if the motor is designed right to the limits it will run slightly hotter on 50Hz.
