Discuss Advice , changing immersion hearted switch to digital timer in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

It is for the immersion heater it's what heats are water I've been using it since we have moved it but want something so I can put t on a timer rather than a switch?
If you carry on you will either kill yourself, someone else, or cause a fire. An immersion heater is a relatively hi current appliance associated with water and bathroom pipework, and hence high risk. Leave it alone, you clearly don't know how to do it safely.

Mate that's a lighting switch, wired in what looks lie 1.5mm singles, there will be no Neutral at that position, so cannot be used as a W/H switch or any D/P switch for that matter.

Gonna just get a spark guys but that's definitely the immersion heater switch 100% it's the only one we use for the warm water because we haven't used oil yet or filled the tank as it's summer , is it dangerous as it stands?
