I am in the habit of fitting 'Fusebox' consumer units. However, I notice that Danson are even cheaper.

Has anyone fitted them? Are they acceptable quality? Any problems with the RCBO's?

If they are 'Chint' like quality then I would rather avoid them. Chint are the only RCD's I have ever come across that are faulty.

Cheers 😃

I haven't yet heard of them and they may well be fine. But I'll probably stick with Fusebox as they seem very good quality for the money and I haven't had any problems at all. As we all know you get what you pay for. 🙂

For the pennies difference in price , I will stick to FuseBox
Probably best. 😊
Thanks for replying both.

Obvoiusly you have not found the Proteus ones.
Heres a pic of one that died when we pressed the test button during and EICR.

I hope that failed due to an overload somewhere and not a design or manufacturing flaw…

I knew there was a reason I used the insulated handle of a screwdriver to press an RCD test button…..
