Hi
A neighbor asked me to look at her bathroom light with shaver socket, her son was looking at it but could not get it working.

Well power is to the fitting but Lamp is not working, i will check the shaver socket later do you have to be careful with the lamp? (ie) don't touch it with bare hands? tried an old fitting it was just the same power to the fitting.

Any advice please.

Thanks

Mark

You say that there is power to the fitting and you've changed the fitting, have you checked the neutral return or are you relying on a neon screwdriver to test it!

I have installed the same type a couple weeks back and had to fiddle with the front cover to make it work.

If the cover is not seated properly, it won't work.

Cheers!

I don’t see why not, it’s an ordinary strip light with tungsten filament that comes in two types (clear and pearl). You can touch it when cold as it gets very hot during operation (you will not damage it by simply touching it). It’s definitely not like those halogen lamps used in car head lights.

Cheers!
