got my assessment coming up, can I just download the latest amendments rather than paying £80 for a new book every couple of years?

If so anyone got a link?

Ill be honest mate if its for your assesment then i would buy an up todate copy of the regs , having said that the ammendments are not statutory until january , having said that again it would be in your best intrest to have a copy for your assesment

No you can't just download the amendments, as there are more amendments than original book.
Sorry, but I doubt you will like my next comment, and you will probably not be the only one.

BS7671 is one of the cheapest if not the cheapest standard in the £ per page stakes.
If you cannot run your company such that you can't arrange to have sufficient funds to pay out for a copy of the standards required for your business every few years then perhaps you need to find a job.

Think of those of us that due to their businesses have to carry al 8 GN's and a raft of other standards, we have to do it, so just live with it, buy it and get on with it.
We can't charge any more than you a lot of the time, even tough due to some jobs we have higher overheads.
