Hi,
My first thread so be gentle.

I have always done domestic but have got a job at a commercial site, 2 small units knocked into one. The problem I have got is running the cables, as I cannot gain access to ceiling, and they don't want trunking everywhere. They have started to put up the partitioning walls and left one side unboarded ( only 60mm stud ).

My question is this. If I run my cables in the partitioning safe zones (obviously cables wont be 50mm deep) do all the circuits run require an RCD protection as in domestic?

Many Thanks Aaronstuart

lol yeah, according to 17th. unless theyre in metal conduit which sucks just as much. The thing i dont understand about this myself is if computer circuits are rcd protected then surely they will nuiscence trip. its a lose lose situation lol. and technically speaking if your switch drops are dropping down the wall then theyll be on rcd too lols. so afraid so buddy, and for your other problem run some 6inch tray down the center of the shop.
