Hi, can anybody recommend a suitable light for a kitchen ceiling that is Class 2.

The reason is that there isn't an earth in the lighting circuit. I know it should be rewired, but the old lady hasn't got the money and she is struggling to change the bulbs on her existing light. I was hoping to find an LED type fluorescent light in class 2 format.

I fitted one of these a while ago. Deltech Series 2000.

From memory, it had a two core flex hanging out of the top, so was presumably class 2. You need to fit a junction box above the ceiling to accept the flex, so easy in a bungalow, slightly more aggro if there's a room above. It was a pretty good replacement for the same length single fluorescent. Probably a bit brighter.
