I have a gas cooker with an electric grill, can this be plugged into a normal socket or does it need to be plugged into the specific cooker socket. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, getting a new kitchen fitted and they've made a slight boob and left me with no cooking socket, told me to plug it into the normal socket but I didn't think this was correct. Is there any regulations I can throw back at them, family of 5 here with a toddler here, any help and advice will be greatly received ---

As has been noted above, can you confirm the rating of the grill (if that's the only part that uses electricity). I'd be very surprised if the grill was 12+KW!

Regards

Is it just the hob thats gas, with the ovens & grill being electric?
If it is then you'll be needing a separate circuit for the oven ( 23A with out a socket on the ccu 28A with a socket on the ccu)

basically. it's simple. if it came with a plug top fitted, plug it in. if not, then a dedicated supply is required. end of.
