My old house had the rfc in the bathroom , it fed the old heater and the fan. we had 2 sfcu at high level in the bathroom and flex like a washing line to the old heater and fan.
I do wonder if this is what the blanked off box was for. But I couldn't see any sign of a removed heater. My old house had the rfc in the bathroom , it fed the old heater and the fan. we had 2 sfcu at high level in the bathroom and flex like a washing line to the old heater and fan.
It's privately owned. The extractor fan does work in the bathroom but I think it's had its day as it couldn't hold a piece of tissue when on. I've offered to replace it for free for her next week.Is the property privately owned or council? I am just thinking of health issues for the old dear.
Funny how perspectives change, I am classed as an old boy by the 50 : 60 year olds around here to the point of during the pandemic height I was asked if I needed any shopping, that made me sit up and re-assess a few things in my life.
Your a nice man. I’ve done the same, however I bet she’s got hundreds of thousands in the bank. It's privately owned. The extractor fan does work in the bathroom but I think it's had its day as it couldn't hold a piece of tissue when on. I've offered to replace it for free for her next week.
Agree about your first point - an earlier entry to Heaven in line for him and you too.Your a nice man. I’ve done the same, however I bet she’s got hundreds of thousands in the bank.
I used to do alot of freebies for a neighbour because I felt sorry for her as she lived in a hovel.
she had assets, property, cash, shares worth over a million when she died. Her family where complaining about the amount of inheritance tax they had to pay.
Hopefully not too early an entry to heaven.Agree about your first point - an earlier entry to Heaven in line for him and you too.
If it was my mother or mother in law it would have been sorted one way or another - shame on the family you mention for not doing the same and promptly. Tradesmen are not charities albeit they often charitable. Many charities exist which have funds to pay for small work and purchases eg Lions. Even the local council will often step in via Age UK.
They have even removed a number of extra knockouts to save time in the future!Thinking of the next blokeallowed plenty of room to shove some more cables in
Very considerate of them , I might start doing that myself on future board installsThey have even removed a number of extra knockouts to save time in the future!
Looking at it again , I wonder if it was a second hand board...
Looks to have been screwed to some sort of fiber board.Tell me they didn't glue the telly to the plasterboard wall![]()
Apparently it was installed by a sparky 5 years ago. inside was a mess, redundant cables floating around and a proper rats nest.
No paperwork available and an inspection & test label with no dates on it tells me otherwise.
I'm with @Dustydazzler on the 2nd hand angle. Several knockouts cut into one hole, but others knocked out and filled with grommets. Some odd thought process employed, regardless of whether it was new or used.
Thinking about it with grommets being put in the knockouts and a gaping hole cut in the top, you’re both right, it could well be second hand.
That raises the question? Who’d fit a second hand £50 screwfix special?![]()
Its amazing the amount of old crap that sells on Ebay and other selling sites...Thinking about it with grommets being put in the knockouts and a gaping hole cut in the top, you’re both right, it could well be second hand.
