Drills and tools

I just want to know whether my employer should provide us with tools and drills or whether we have to buy our own

If you are an employee of ACME Electrical Limited then they provide the tools.
If you are self-employed and working as a sub-contractor to ACME Electrical then you provide the tools.

So should they supply drills then aswell

It's just that one of the lads at work had all his tools n drills nicked out of the van today but work dnt have tools insured in vans

What does it say in his contract about leaving tools in van?

A lot of companys these days don't insure your own hand or power tools in there van.

They was nicked during working hours. There his tools and it doesn't say anything in contract bout it

Just depends on the company. We're one of the only around here that get supplied battery drills and all other power tools. So who owned the drills and tools? His responsibility if you ask me. Insurance won't cover stuff being stolen out the van

He owned the drills because we all buy our own battery drills.
