Discuss Extension Lead for Battery Charger in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi Guys.
Is it safe to use an extension lead with a single pin 48V battery charger for an e-trike? The charger has a standard UK 3-pin mains plug. If so, what length limitations would there be for the extension lead - I probably won’t need it to be long. This is the Battery Charger:
Thanks

That will be fine. Just buy a decent quality branded item from a reputable source. Avoid Amazon/ebay etc.

What ratings are on the spec plate of the charger?

Thank you for replying. The charger is on order. Can I get back to you with the plate details when it arrives, please? Any advice on max length of extension lead?

A better question would be 'how long do you need it?'

Are we talking just a few metres?
