Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can help.

i have a number of guys working for me, some are good at fault finding and some still need the experience.

im looking for a fault finding flow diagrams to lead the less experienced ones down a logical path when looking for faults on not only heating systems but lighting, radial and ring mains etc. We carry out domestic and commercial work only so don't need motors etc.

i have searched for books and also google images but can't track anything down.

has anyone seen anything like this? Boiler manuals have them for internal faults but I've never seen one for general faults.

Thanks in advance

Employers have always had to pay for extra training to specialise their workforce.
Therefor good guy working with not so good guy will provide training.
This is afterall how an apprenticeship takes its course, one on one.
From what you say the knowledge you are looking for from google etc is already there in your workforce but some need mentored.

If they're just bog standard Radials and RFCs, set up a test rig and riddle it with faults and let them loose on it.

After hours training, payment in beer for the most successful fault finder.

Actual flow diagrams are in a book called "Central Heating, Installation, maintenance and repair", by Patrick Michell, publlishedf by Brailsford.

Step by step fault finding is in the Honeywell wiring guide which you should find on the web.

Laurie,

Thank you very much for the info. I had seen the book but was unsure of its content.

I'm reassured that there are some genuine people on this forum that actually want to help. I posted this on another page and all it attracted in minutes were are load of circling idiots belittling the question and informing me that no such thing existed and that I "employed monkeys"

Many thanks once again.

regards

Graham

See answer below *removed*. That is what this forum is for, not for you and your clown friends to chest puff about your knowledge and try to belittle people...adios to you and your sad one man band and employed small minded friends
