I am going to fit 5 MR11 35w downlighters in my downstairs utility room which has a flat plasterboard ceiling which goes onto a slant with a velux skylight. There's no rooms above the ceiling so it's just insulation and then the roof of the extension. The downlights are not for rated so I bought some fire hoods. Are they ok going in this kind of ceiling space as I've only ever fitted them in lofts and under accessible floorboards. They will be on transformers too.
