Hi, I have an installation using JCC6 Led none dimmable down lights,
about 150 fittings installed , on initial switch on about 10 started flashing on & off, after a period of time ( 3 to 60 minuets) some settled down & remained on but a few continued flashing , These were replaced & worked fine. However; the next day when the lights were checked again more fittings started flashing. Some fittings worked fine for up to a week before flashing. so far we have replaced about 30 fittings. A voltage check on site showed 238V . I have benched tested a few of the suspected fittings off site in my workshop but could not replicate the fault. Has anyone had similar problems or know what the cause might be.
I have installed about 300 of these fittings on other projects & had
the same fault on only one fitting which was replaced & gave no further problems.
I have been in contact with JCC , who have been most helpful & may visit site to resolve this issue, but as yet they can't give a reason as to the cause.

I had a similar problem when the builder came along after the installation and covered the fire rated down lights with insulation and boarded the loft, so I drilled some vent holes above the fittings to allow the heat to escape from the newly created void. Problem solved.

Are they all on one switch?
Just wondering if it is a similar issue along the line of, but not the same as, the limit placed on dimmers when dimming LED lights. As in, for example, the Varilght ones have some limit like "16" per gang.

just wondering if there is a cumulative effect going on down to the sheer number you have.

did you check real voltage at each light fitting...? Could it be voltage drop as i imagine its over quite a space....?

just random thoughts.

Spent sometime trying out various checks, but was still unable to find the cause of the flashing lights, However; over a period of a week all the fittings stopped flashing & seem to be working fine. I am returning to site on Monday & hope the owner does not have bad news for me.
