fuse spur that will be used as power for a LED

Hello, what would I need for the following...
A 40 meter cable run through fire partition walls, into a large plasterboard void to supply a switched fuse spur that will be used as power for a LED advertisement screen, unfortunately there's no forthcoming info on wattage.
what cable size would you recommend? Why?
what breaker type would you recommend? Why?

I don't think anyone would consider providing the information you request, but doing so will be impossible without details of the load in question.

The best advice I can offer is to use an appropriately sized cable of an appropriate type, protected by an appropriately rated breaker of an appropriate type and the best means of achieving this would be by engaging the services of a competent electrician.

If it is a fused spur than you have a 13A limit, however, that might not be enough (you absolutely need to find out the overall load and any switch-on surge) and even then the cable & breaker size/type depend on the supply characteristics (Ze in particular) and the total length, so there is not a one-size-fits-all answer.

This is one of those jobs that could be a quick 1 hour job or right old faff that takes you hours.

You install to manufacturers instructions, simple as (with cable calcs to suit). However, given that personally I'd be looking at a B type RCD device then you'll probably need to consider this as a new circuit to allow for suitable discrimination.

What makes you say that? It's pretty unusual for an LED advertising screen to be installed in a domestic installation.

I sometimes wonder about a big one on the front of the house saying "DELIVER HERE" for when the delivery drivers are so lazy they cant find the clearly numbered house down a clearly signposted lane.
would be nice to tell them on the phone, look around, head towards the big flashing sign that says deliver here.

I had a 3' x 2' sign made in red with white lettering to direct deliveries away from a front driveway, with the wording 'ALL DELIVERIES TO REAR', yet at least 50% of drivers ignored it. The rear yard was large enough to turn a 40' truck and it really ----ed me off when 7.5 tonners pushed their way under low hanging trees, so I'd explain that any damage caused by their exit would result in a claim and made them reverse back down the entire lane as there was no room to turn at the narrow front driveway. Most only made that mistake once, but a memorable few were particularly difficult to train.
