Ps Tony i'm interested to hear phild's story.
well here it is, a friend of mine lives in a row of 4 cottages out in the sticks which are fed from an overhead supply.anyway he was telling me how a neighbour has a genny for when the power fails and it powers the 4 cottages, the daft begger had it connected up so when the power goes he switches the genny on and it backfeeds into the mains therby not only powering the cottages bbut also feeding back to god knows where! Not nice for anyone working on a part of the network that they think is isolated, anyway a call to networks got him sorted.
