CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIS VID OF "HOW HE GOT INTO THE TRADE" sorry for the capsHe has a gift for making the obvious sound complicated
When you are billing by the 1/4 of an hour the longer and more complex you can make the job the more profitable the job becomesHe has a gift for making the obvious sound complicated
Another fault diagnostic master class by my favourite celebrity sparky
How to you know how to price a job when customer rings you at 9.30pm saying 'My electrics keep tripping and all my lights and sockets are off....'I would never agree to being billed on the hr or any time, give me a price.!
True DD true, but just say £100 an hr x7 = £700 My point is some sparks are quick and good, on the other hand you could get some old plodder take twice as long hence twice the money. How to you know how to price a job when customer rings you at 9.30pm saying 'My electrics keep tripping and all my lights and sockets are off....'
It could be 15mins to just to pop round and reset their rcd or 4 - 5 hours trying to work out what exactly keeps banging out the rcd
Fault diagnostics is nearly always on the hour or part hour shirley ?
Delroy is in London and much like my area of North Surrey his 'rate' is about standard £100-150 per hourTrue DD true, but just say £100 an hr x7 = £700 My point is some sparks are quick and good, on the other hand you could get some old plodder take twice as long hence twice the money.
Ok maybe ask what their day rate is before starting, and if somebody quoted me £700 bye, no sparky is charging out that amount of money up here.

Watched the first minutes lolLooks like Del is now working for Schreiber
Me as well something to be desiredDon't understand his logic for requiring an adaptable box for 3-core SWA ?
I've given up on him
Someone give him a Milwaukee 12v SDS too
2/10 for Delroy here for the first 5 minutes of the video
Can't wait for his video "how I became an Electrician" should be interesting viewingWatched up to about 5 minutes
Not great that he earthed the socket but ignored the rest of the circuit, if that's the way he left it
2/10 that's being generous MateDon't understand his logic for requiring an adaptable box for 3-core SWA ?

I have said already, he started in 1973 and still going, you dont last that long in this game if your rubbish.I honestly don't see the issue with Delroys work
He uses a combi drill , i often use my 18v combi to drill holes for red plugs
Okay , the galv box is possibly OTT and he could have taken the Swa straight into the socket
As far as wiring up 2 outdoor plug sockets goes I can't see anything wrong with it

I like bundy and dss, anyone else that you would recommend?
I thought Delroy had started installing furniture when I saw that old MFI blast from the pastLooks like Del is now working for Schreiber
I'd say Schneider has a laser level dispatched to delroy after the board meeting this morningYe gods
How long before Schneider want their shirts back![]()
He's 65? Wow he's aged well, thought he was about 50.I gracefully disagree , I have watched most of my videos as I can't see much wrong with any of his workmanship
He is neat , tidy and often takes on awkward jobs that aren't easy to make look perfect
He could things faster sometimes but at 65? he does okay imo and I love the way he talks through what he is doing and explains why he is doing it that way
Residual Current is ?I like bundy and dss, anyone else that you would recommend?
I think this is the very fact why most don't like him, all the newer generation, nothing wrong with old school methods .I watched a couple of Leroy's videos he's definitely old school... Seems like a good bloke but would probably benefit from some newer methods.
Thanks for the correction ?I think this is the very fact why most don't like him, all the newer generation, nothing wrong with old school methods .
His name is Delroy
