Oh boy did I just pull a bo-boob. I deleted my post before I got started. Teach me to use a phone but the interwebs is down right now and all I have is the data link on this phone.
So, I have a AMPROBE "AMB-2" that does not show any batt on the scale. I have checked the through hole circuit board and it appears fine. There's no smell of burnt but there is no dcV flowing the fuse though fuse has continuity.
This is a company tool so essentially I have to fix the tool or just purchase my own but $6-700 to me is not for me right now.
Has anyone run into this before?
What did you do to fix it?
Oh yeah newbie here so "hi" and, no I am not an electrician as I applied for a forklift position but was hired as a mill right. AND, yes in the last year it has been a pleasure of bad switches and mag switches blown heaters and a lot of private tears and insanely inside screams.
So thanks in advance.

Have you tried a new battery?

you can buy equivalent meter or even a digi. one for $50. from China via ebay.

Thks James and telectrix but I already de-soldered the thing apart and ran the PCB. I found a TIP42B transistor and, and a C4935 transistor of which both transistors let continuity flow between emitter and base which means the diode in each of these transistors is burnt and therefore does not allow the gate to turn on. Both are about $3 so they are being ordered today and will be soldered in when they arrive.
